Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Charlie Wilson, a.k.a. Uncle Charlie gained prominence as the singer of the Gap Band. After the band’s dissolution, he embarked on his solo career and found great commercial success. Wilson has released numerous iconic R&B and soul singles like “Attitude,” “Charlie, Last Name Wilson,” and “There Goes My Baby.” Wilson earned 11 Grammy Awards and a whopping 11 NAACP Awards throughout his career. He was also honored with a BET Lifetime Achievement Award.
Singer-songwriter and music producer Babyface is responsible for the success of many careers as he has produced songs for the biggest pop and R&B stars in the circuit like Mary J Blige, Diana Ross, Fall Out Boy, and Celine Dion. But he has a slew of commerically successful records of his own. Babyface released “It’s No Crime,” “My Kinda Girl,” and “Everytime I Close My Eyes,” among others. Babyface’s incredible career has resulted in 13 Grammy Awards. He was also named as one of the Greatest Music Producers by NME, ranking at a cool number 20.
