Industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails are headed out on an extensive North American tour in support of their latest projects. The band just recently announced they would be composing the score to Disney’s Tron: Ares, and this upcoming tour will be the first time the soundtrack’s songs are performed live. Nine Inch Nails have quite the busy schedule this year. Since early 2024, the band has announced several multi-media projects, perhaps the most exciting being their composition of the score for the 2025 action film Tron: Ares, which they’ll be performing live on their upcoming North American tour, Peel It Back. Nine Inch Nails are perhaps best known for their 1994 hit single, Closer, but they’re far from a one hit wonder. To date, the band has released eleven studio albums, and that’s not even including the two film soundtracks they’ve scored. Their most recent project was scoring the soundtrack to the newest film in the Tron film series, Tron: Ares, which came out on October 10th 2025.
With the release of the 2025 sci-fi action film Tron: Ares and its subsequent soundtrack, Nine Inch Nails were thrust back into the forefront of people’s minds. The soundtrack, completely scored by the band themselves, marks the first time the band as a whole is credited on a movie score rather than individual members’ names. NIN is also set to release a number of multimedia projects through their company With Teeth throughout 2026.
But what else do fans have to look forward to in terms of music? The new year will bring many things, especially for fans of NIN: the band will be kicking off the lengthy North American Peel It Back tour with a debut show in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 5th 2026. The tour will come to a close on March 16th 2026 with a performance in Sacramento, California at the Golden 1 Center, but the show you really wanna look out for is the first one.
